We suited up in our Bavarian Trachtenmode and headed to Munich for the last weekend of Oktoberfest. The train the crowded, the walk was long, and the beer was, well, we wouldn’t know, because, we couldn’t find a seat to have beer, but it was all worth it because we met our dear friends, Sacha and Aigulle. Oh, and Rainier got to ride a pony!
To celebrate fall, we headed to the Czech Republic for beer and pumpkins.
After more than a year away from home, we couldn’t wait to spend some time with family and friends, soak in the New Orleans sun, and eat some good cajun food. We even got to celebrate Willow and Bria’s 2nd birthday!
I headed to Berlin for the BUKA final meeting in July. It was filled with great views, group photos, and a meeting with German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, and of course . . . all the feels as we officially ended our BUKA adventure. Read more about my year-end reflections here.
